CTfanman reminds us of the coming Chinese New Year and factory closings – 2014/2015.
The holidays are fast approaching and we wanted to make sure any material
and/or delivery “surprises” are held to a minimum! Chinese New Year is right around the corner and as we all know, these holidays can have a large impact on manufacturing in China and Taiwan, which draws-out lead times. Our latest schedule shows the YEN SUN factories will be closed from February 16th 2015 to February 24th, 2015.
As we get closer to years end, lead times will continue to stretch out and it is very important to plan your inventory needs with this in mind. YS Tech USA is traditionally closed between Christmas and the New Year holiday so all orders and shipments out of California need to be scheduled prior to this. YS Tech USA’s last shipping day of 2014 is December 19th! And will resume shipments on January 5th, 2015.
This year we have additional delay realities to consider, the Port of Long Beach! The port is already heavily congested and is adding additional delays to our deliveries. Currently, accounting for at least a week. And this will most likely get worse as we approach years end! We apologize for this additional headache, but it is out of our control.
Current delivery lead times are pushing 13 – 14 weeks for US shipments! (and can easily get worse because of port congestion)
