YS Tech offers Expanded Temp Range and IP qualified cooling fans!
Happy New Year to all our Distributors and Sales Representatives! We hope your Holidays were restful and relaxing.
Over the Holidays it occurred to me that I have not, at least recently and in one place, shared with you how extensive the YS Tech offering has become for expanded temperature ranges and IP qualified cooling fans! Our discussion this month will do exactly that.
Back in April of 2015, I introduced you to the basics of the IP (Ingress Protection) code. For a quick review [ go here: https://www.ystechusa.com/ip-qualified/ ]. In that discussion we examined the meaning of [for example] IP67: the 6 designates this model is dust tight. The second number told us it is safe for water immersion to 1 meter!
BTW: in that same Blog I offered a link to a couple of YS fans running in water! As a reminder [go here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFPJOGKH7CM ]. Certain models of our fans are qualified to IP43, IP55 and IP67, depending on the customer’s requirements. Of course other IP qualifications are available, just ask us. We are able to meet the IP parameters in just about every fan model we offer, especially in the more popular model sizes! If your customer requires an IP qualified fan, we should be able to provide it.
So, the IP qualifications are not entirely new to you, but the next subject just might be. And that is EXPANDED TEMPERATURE RANGES. As you seasoned cooling fan sales people probably recall, the typical operating temperature range for our fans is -10°C to +70°C. Our expanded temp ranges are: –40°C to +85°C (that’s -40°F to +185°F). We’ve taken the initiative to offer these new capabilities because of our extensive involvement in the automotive market where these temperatures are frequently the ambient. If you don’t have any automotive related customers, other industries we support are: outdoor equipment manufacturers, industrial equipment manufacturer and of course Telecom equipment manufacturers. And, if your customer is considering an Xtreme model, it’s practically a certainty we can offer it in an expanded temp range model. Many other models are also candidates.
A New Year and more new offerings from your favorite cooling fan manufacturer, YS Tech USA! If I’ve raised some questions, actually that is one of the reasons for these blogs, please give me a call or drop me a line on an eMail and we can discuss.
Can’t wait to hear from you …
