YS Tech Holiday schedules – plan now!

CTfanman discusses the North American Holiday Schedule and Chinese New Year 2014

The holidays are fast approaching and we wanted to make sure any material and/or delivery “surprises” are held to a minimum!  Chinese New Year is right around the corner and as we all know, these holidays can have a large impact on manufacturing in China and Taiwan, which draws-out lead times.  Our latest schedule shows our Taiwan facility to be closed from January 30, 2014 to February 6, 2014 and our China facility will be closed from January 30, 2014 until February 18, 2014.

As we get closer to the New Year, lead times will continue to stretch out and it is very important to plan your inventory needs with this in mind.  YS Tech USA is traditionally closed between Christmas and the New Year holiday so all orders and shipments out of California need to be scheduled prior to this. Our last shipping day in Garden Grove, CA is December 23, 2013.  Our first shipping day in 2014 will be January 6th.

Our current lead time is 10-12 weeks by ocean FOB CA and 8-10 weeks FCA Hong Kong.  These lead times have begun to increase and will reach 12-14 weeks FOB CA and  8-10 weeks FCA HK after the Chinese New Year Holidays.  We are doing all we can to secure materials so this is as smooth as possible from December to March.
