Part of this month’s Blog will sound familiar! I’ve been talking about complete Thermal Solutions and the availability of Design Assistance for years (2012 being the intro point!). We’ve discussed how a FAN, by itself, can be a Thermal Solution. Sometimes more than a single fan.  Some designs dictate a Heat Sink, too. When I visited our Thermal Solutions factory (Dec. 2012), I learned not all heat sinks are the same. I was shown various technologies: Extruded, Vapor Chamber, Skived Fin, High-Aspect Ratio Fin and Fansinks. To name a few.

With the Heat Sinks being made on the line in house, it seemed logical for the same factory to offer DESIGN services to our customers! This has turned out to be a winning combination. Offering the correct fan, the correct Heat Sink (when needed) and the design expertise to blend them into a SOLUTION using Thermal Engineering experience, and state of the art Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software, enabling modeling capabilities, really reduces proof of concept, development and time to market costs! I hope I didn’t get too carried away there, but I think you can tell we’re very excited to be able to offer these inclusive services! 20131008_110023_resized

If you Thermal expert salespeople out there have not taken advantage of these capabilities, you’re really missing out.

If you imagine your project is too small for our off-shore Solutions factory, YS Tech USA has some capabilities, right here in Southern California. So, once the project definition is stabilized, I can assist in recommending where the work should be based. That’s why I’m here, so don’t be shy about bringing me into the project whatever stage it’s currently in. We even have capabilities to do prototyping in this local lab.

I know what you may be thinking, YS Tech having this capability is all good, but how do I turn that into sales? I’m glad you ‘asked’! Briefly, (you) need to be in the account frequently enough to be able to identify who the innovators of the organization are. Then, these individuals should be well aware of all the advantages you can provide for their D&D (Design & Development) work.
